Why You Get Registration and Plates Back When You Donate Car to Charity or Dealer?
Question by miklerupport: Why you get registration and plates back when you donate car to charity or dealer?
I curious why would they bother giving you registration and plates back since they still going to use this car why not change registration its cheaper than making new one for the car.
Btw does registration and plates belong to a car or to a person, i mean if it belongs to a car then what use i have from this plates and old registration?
I not getting it when you sell car to someone it goes with plates and that person just have to change registration of this plates?
And do i have to extend registration over and over is it temporary?

the plates belong to owner, If you take the plates back to your county court house, and there is any time left before the license expires you maybe able to get a refund on the license fee you paid.
