It would be helpful to have more information. I’m not familiar with any programs that offer cars, but there are many organizations that offer free or inexpensive air or ground transportation for doctor visits. There are some listed here: http://freebies.about.com/od/medicaltransport/Free_Medical_Transport_for_Those_in_Need.htm . Just 2 examples:
1. The American Cancer Society has a Road to Recovery program that “finds volunteers to provide ground transportation to and from treatments for cancer patients in need.”
2. The Volunteer Pilots Association “offers free medical transport for those with a financial need.”

You might also call the “211″ (for referral to community services) in northwest Lousiana. Perhaps they have some better ideas for you. For contact information, go here http://www.211.org/ and click Lousiana. There are four 211 call centers in Lousiana, but I’m not sure which is in the northwest.

Good luck,
Trish
